English Wye Challenger
Challenger has good growing characteristics with heavy yields and a fine aroma. It is a fruity, almost scented aroma with some spicy overtones. This makes it a versatile kettle hop for all types of beer. It blends well with other English varieties and is sometimes used as a late hop and a dry hop - although advantage is not then taken of its high aplha acid content.
