Bare root hop plants are available from late November until early April. Dates will vary depending on the weather and ground conditions however, we hope to start lifting from the field by November 1st.
The best time to transplant hop plants lies during this period whilst the plant is dormant.
Plants in 2 Litre pots are available from May until September.

Northern Brewer
Raised in 1934 from Canterbury Golding, crossed with a male seedling from Brewer's Gold. The bine is red and the fruiting laterals comparatively short. Growth is moderate, and consequently some growers train three bines to a string. The bine does not naturally encircle the string so readily as that of other varieties, so it requires more hand training. It prefers the heavier types of hop soil and needs a good supply of soil moisture. The cones, which are of medium size, retain much of their green colour when ripe, and not infrequently produce leaves among their bracts. The yield is good, and the hops are of high quality. Grown in Europe and America as a dual-purpose hop, but the aroma is mellow, so is mainly used for bittering in combination with other hops.
